Chapter 38 Mail FAQs

1. Who is authorized to use our Chapter 38 email?
Only paid up current or Life members of Chapter 38, SFA and SafeHouse 38 Century Club Members. Other folks don't need to read any further.

2. What is it?
Chapter 38, SFA owns and operates its own mail server and, as such, can provide email addresses, mailboxes, forwards, aliases, auto-responders, and mailing lists to its members.

We have two ways that members can access their Chapter 38 email: 1) through the WebMail Interface or 2) through Mircosoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook.

3. Why would I want to use the Webmail Interface?
If you are at a friend's house, overseas, or on a business trip, you can go to any Internet browser with an internet connection and read, send, delete, or save your mail without setting up a mail account on a different computer. Then when you return home you can download your mail into your e-mail program (such as Outlook or Outlook Express).  It's handy if you are in Kuwait or Iraq and you don't want to download your personal mail onto a DOD computer.

4. Can I use it with AOL or another ISP?
Yes, it doesn't matter which internet connection you have, as long as, you have access to the Internet and an e-mail account with Chapter 38.

5. How do I set it up?
First of all, you have to have a Chapter 38, e-mail account with a Chapter 38 mailbox. So if you do not have one, you need to contact the secretary@sfa38.org  or assistantsecretary@sfa38.org so we can set you up a Chapter 38 mailbox on the server. The rest is simple:

1) To see how to use the WebMail Interface click HERE

2) To see how to setup your Outlook or Outlook Express click HERE.
